The Mill Pond News was originally published every Friday night, when Uncle Sam and Uncle Stan together returned on a train that got them as far as Walworth. The newspaper included iconic columns such as “A Little News About Everybody”, as well as records of fish, poison ivy, and stray sheep caught, fishhooks accidentally embedded in children and dogs, exciting trips to Old World Wisconsin or the emergency room, and other events that the daddies needed to know in order to understand their children, wives, and pets. Early editions also included illustrations. The archives are in the filing cabinet in the Frieberg room that faces the Boys Bunkhouse.
